Want to freshen up your space but don’t feel like redecorating right now? House plants are a great option for adding colour and texture, breathing life into tired rooms. There are so many to choose from, so here’s how you can use a few different types to perk up lacklustre spaces in your home:<\/p>\n

A quick and easy way to brighten up a room, flowers come in a variety of shades and styles, from small, simple petals to ornate, sculptural-looking\u00a0blooms. Great for adding colour and fragrance to your coffee table, dining table, bedside table or any windowsill throughout your home.<\/p>\n

Looking to add a bit of fresh air to your kitchen? Herbs will certainly do the trick, place a few on your windowsill to pick fresh leaves from to cheer up your space and add flavour to your food, and they smell fantastic too! You could also try growing a few small vegetable plants in the kitchen, such as chillis or tomatoes.\u00a0Close at hand for cooking and bring life and colour to your windowsill.<\/p>\n

One of our favourite types of potted plants! This includes cacti and other plants such as aloe vera and agave – yes, the one that Tequila comes from! They are generally fairly easy to care for and come in a range of shapes, sizes and colours, so they can just add little touches of texture and colour, making them perfect for displaying amongst other decorative accessories in any room. Due to their size and low-maintenance needs, they’re also great for cheering up your desk at work!<\/p>\n

If you’d like to go for something a little bigger, a potted Palm or fern plant can add a dramatic look to a room.\u00a0These are great for the lounge, bedroom, bathroom or dining room, and you can choose a smaller or larger variant depending on how much space you have.<\/p>\n
