Our expertly skilled craftsmen manufacture high quality traditional sofas to ensure your choice lasts for many years to come and look stunning under all circumstances. For example, after the furniture has been upholstered the leather is carefully hand rubbed to create the antique finish you see. This antique leather starts as a darker colour but in areas that have been antiqued this top coat is removed to bring through the true colour of the leather, and it is this process that creates the traditional antique effect to the furniture. After carefully antiquing the furniture with your choice of finish (maximum, standard or minimum rub) the leather is then sealed to protect the appearance to give a beautiful mellow sheen.

Absolutely, we do not use split or faux leather on any part of our sofas. Some leathers in the italia range are available as split leathers.

The colours shown on this web page are as accurate as current technology will allow.
