Interior Design Inspiration – 4 Inspiring Boards on Pinterest

Pinterest Boards are a great place to go for interior design inspiration because interior design is by its very nature incredibly visual. If you need some home decorating ideas, head on over to Pinterest now and take a look at these four boards. You’re bound to find plenty of inspiration there.

Jami Goldsmith's Pinterest Boards

Jami Goldsmith

With around 90 boards to look at, Jami is a one stop shop of inspiration. Typical examples of boards include one on colour, one on window dressings and another one on furniture. The furniture board has a selection of furniture items pinned to it; many people have liked and/or repinned them too. With more than 7,000 pins in total, this could be a very confusing jumble of ideas. But Jami has taken great care to divide everything up so you will always know exactly where to get your ideas from.

Fears and Kahn

This is another example of how useful Pinterest can be when it comes to finding interior design inspiration. Among their 20 boards you will find ones focusing on vintage posters, vintage animal decor, 21st century architecture and eclectic and bold interiors. Simply click on the board that interests you most and get some smart home decorating ideas and inspiration. Many of the pinned items have comments below them. One unusual interior featuring a fireplace and an unusually low but huge window looking out onto a lake simply says ‘love the window!’ The comments serve to pick out the best bits from each picture.

Ideas to Steal

ideas to steal

This is a superb selection of boards maintained by an interior blog. It is a good one to explore if you want to redecorate or design one particular room. Many of their boards focus on individual rooms, such as the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. There is also a work space at home board and a Norwegian design board. In the work space at home example you’ll find lots of inspiration from pictures of various work spaces, all designed in a completely different way.

Emma Lamb's Pinterest Boards

This is a little more unusual as it focuses on colour and how you perceive and find it. The sense of colour here is fantastic. One board is called ‘canary to mustard’ and features a whole slew of things related to every shade of yellow you can think of. Other boards focus on other colours. Some examples include soot to pitch, beige to cocoa and scarlet to Bordeaux. If you want a complete overhaul of the way you think about colour, focus on this board today and see whether it inspires you to think about interior design in a different way.

You can see each boards creator has their own unique take on interior design and everything it stands for. Take your time to focus on some sensational sources of inspiration for any interior design project you may have planned, now or in the future.
