London Fashion Week – Catwalk Trends with Interior Appeal

By Darlings Of Chelsea

This week saw the conclusion of the London Fashion Week. There were, naturally, lots of gorgeous designs strutted up and down catwalks from a variety of fantastic designers. And many of these looks translate really well into Interior trends. Here are a few of our favourites:

Velvet at London Fashion Week

Velvet is such a gorgeous sumptuous fabric, and it was seen in several shows in LFW AW16, including those of Preen (as seen above), Roksanda and Erdem. Velvet also looks great in the home, particularly on sofas, as part of a vintage glam look, which is very on trend right now.

Heavy Use of Haberdashery

The haberdashery stash seems to have been raided for this season’s LFW, with buttons, zips, trims, ruffles and frills detailing featuring in many pieces across a variety of designer’s shows, throughout the week. Button detailing and trims on sofas and furniture can also had a truly chic edge to your interior design scheme.

Super-sized and Cosy

From Marques Almeida, to Burberry, to TopShop’s Unique, several of the catwalks saw displays of oversized coats, that are perfect for getting wrapped up and snug in. These large designs can be reflected at home in grand, spacious and sumptuous sofas to get super comfy and cosy on.
