5 Dream Bathroom Designs

The idea of having a dream bedroom is well-known. But surely our bathroom is just as important? Personally the idea of being able to sink back in a bubble-filled bath to enjoy a luxurious soak in even more luxurious surroundings is my idea of heaven!

While you may never achieve any of the following bathrooms in your own home, there are lots of ways to get close. Which one of these is your favourite?

A classically elegant design

This luxury bathroom may not be to everyone’s tastes, but it certainly nails the sumptuous feel doesn’t it? It’d be harder to achieve in the average sized bathroom but there are still good ideas here you could translate into a smaller room. I love the matching mirrors – they make a nice touch.

A thoroughly modern bathroom

Everyone can appreciate a picture window, but how about having one in your bathroom? You might consider it if there were mountains outside as there are in this calming modern bathroom. I love the idea of stepping down into the bath rather than getting in as normal – and with that view I could stay there for hours!

Surreal and relaxing

Take a look at this fascinating bathroom – it does have a certain surreal edge to it, doesn’t it? The bath takes centre stage here, with its subtle below-water lighting. The idea of having a bathroom big enough for a comfy armchair is beyond what most of us could imagine. This is far more than just your average bathroom though. With rich purple towels to match the purple accents elsewhere, this is a favourite of mine. It somehow manages to provide what you want from a bathroom while looking completely unlike one.

Dark and inviting

Choosing a colour scheme for a bathroom can be tough. Many people opt for something light and airy, but this exotic looking bathroom shows dark colours can work just as well. It takes being bold to choose this shade of purple for the walls, doesn’t it? Purple was used as an accent colour in the previous bathroom design, but here it takes centre stage. With mosaic tiles of all colours and well-chosen lighting, this isn’t something I would choose but I love it. It feels a very safe and cosy place to be – a haven, you might say.

A marble beauty

Why is it that marble looks so appealing in a bathroom? This bathroom features a marble floor and marble walls, and a freestanding bath that looks as though it could hug you. The slightly off-centre position of the bath draws the eye to it, while the rest of the room is very subtle and invokes a relaxing feel. With a separate shower for when time is of the essence, this bathroom manages to tick all the boxes, no matter how much or little time you might have to get ready in the morning (or to relax at night).

So – which of these would be your favourite design to come home to?
